The trip to Arizona to get the coach fixed was a success and everything got fixed correctly.
While they worked on the coach we paid a visit to Stan and Karen at their lovely Scottsdale home.
We met their cute new rescue dog who does not like to walk and prefers to be carried.
We did one 4 mile hike with Aussie who hated the heat and jumped in the stream as soon as she saw it.
The drive back to Indio was about 5 hours and we made it just before sunset. It has been about 105 degrees every day this week so we decided it is time to pack it up an head to Oregon. We tried to go over to Walmart for a few supplies yesterday but the line outside went all the way around the back of the building. Our car said it was 109 degrees outside so we decided there was nothing we needed that badly.
The next few days will consist of cleaning out the casita fridge and the pantry and storing one vehicle and the golf cart and putting styrofoam up against the glass panels since it will be extremely hot over the summer here.
Also we will need to say goodbye to some friends in the park who are full time RVers and have no where else to go at this time.
Yesterday I stopped by to say goodbye to Joann who just brought home a 2 month old puppy.
I wore a mask of course while visiting, especially since my friend is 86 years old. Here is the mask I just made. It did not come out as well as I would have liked so I will try to make another one that fits better.
Two more days and we will be on the road to Oregon. It should take us 3 days and 2 nights since you cannot travel as quickly in a coach as you can in a car.
Today I will do a count of how many people it looks like are left here in the park but from I saw yesterday during my early morning 6am walk with Aussie before the extreme heat came, my guess is that out of the 400 lots maybe 60 are being used.
Hi Susan! I haven’t checked your travels in while, it is nice to catch up!
Glad both you, Gary and Aussie are doing well.
We are still stuck here in New York.
Starting to really feel it….
Keep posting beautiful photos so I can look forward to leaving here someday.
Love to all!
