Last night we had a chance to try out our new pizza oven with a group of friends. This was a whole new learning experience making 4 pizzas in a matter of just a few minutes.
We recently bought the Roccbox pizza oven and had it hooked up this week. The Roccbox is the world’s only restaurant-grade portable outdoor pizza oven, reaching an incredible 950°F / 500°C and cooking a Neapolitan pizza in just 60 seconds.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it as we sat outside and kept our distance.
It was nice to finally be able to be outside after a week long of the worst smoky air Redmond has ever seen. The rain we had on Friday seemed to help clear the air.
Now even the ducks are happy to be outside by the pond just off the golf course.
Today I participated in a ladies Pickleball tournament at Sam Johnson Park in Redmond. My first tournament ever. We each had one partner (the same one for every game) and there were 16 players or 8 teams and everyone there played every team. My original partner dropped out of the tournament the evening before the event and so I was teamed up with a really nice girl named Kathy who is fairly new to the game but a good player. Unfortunately we never had a chance to practice together as the others did but I think we did well, winning 2 games and coming very close on most of the other games.

This week we will be packing up in Oregon getting ready for our trip to the California desert where it is currently 110 degrees, but the travels along the coast to get there should be pleasant. Our RV park in Indio will be quite different this year since about 20% of the owners in the park are Canadian and right now the Canadians cannot come across the border because of the virus.
In order to limit the further spread of coronavirus, the U.S. has reached agreements with both Canada and Mexico to limit all non-essential travel across borders. Working closely and collaboratively, the Department of Homeland Security is part of a North American approach to stop the spread of the virus.
Additionally, CBP will no longer detain illegal immigrants in our holding facilities and will immediately return these aliens to the country they entered from – Canada or Mexico. Where such a return is not possible, CBP will return these aliens to their country of origin.
As of September 18, 2020 these measures have been extended again until October 21, 2020.
Can’t wait to read more!
