Marimekko a Finnish home furnishing, textile and fashion industry was founded in 1951 by 2 designer’s in Helsinki. It is noted for its brightly printed fabrics.
There are many Marimekko stores throughout Finland.
The fashion was made famous in the 1960s by Jacqueline Kennedy who bought 8 dresses that she wore during the 1960 US presidential campaign.
