March in Review

It was a successful trip to Scottsdale Arizona in March. We were finally able to see Gary’s Mother in the assisted living facility after 2 years. They gave us a covid test before we entered and we were able to bring Aussie with us into the building.

We stayed at a wonderful Air BnB owned by some friends and we had access to their pool area if we wanted to sit there.

Here is a sight we saw on the street when walking Aussie. Something we have not seen in over a year. A school bus picking up kids in the early morning!

Our friend’s father used to be a good old fashioned Italian barber way back in the day and they saved his barbers chair and keep it in the house with his old stove. Too cool!

We had dinner at a wonderful restaurant called Coopers Hawk Winery. Tasty food and good service.

Other happenings this month, Garys brother from another Mother and his wife arrived from Canada and it is great to see them. People in the park confuse Larry & Gary.

And now we are stuck at a Truck repair place for 2 nights to have some service done on the coach.

This is not the best part of town and most the homes here have scary big guard dogs inside their fenced areas. Last night was creepy. For a while there was a girl walking back and forth outside the coach late in night taunting the guard dogs and she was laying down on the road and talking to herself. We are told there are many homeless people staying at the motel next door.

I am looking forward to getting back to our resort. Elaine & I have a nice long walk scheduled on Friday from Indio to downtown La Quinta. This will probably be the last time we see temperatures in the 70’s since next week it is scheduled to get to 90.
