Today is our last full day of Porvoo as well as being in Finland.
We enjoyed a peaceful hike in the woods and as little bit of shopping around the town.
The town has the S Market and the K Market for groceries. It always fun to shop in a foreign supermarket, especially when you have no idea what the label says.
Moomins is probably the most adored Finnish icon right after Santa Claus. The white hippo-like Moomins are Finnish literature characters created by a Swedish speaking Finn writer and artist Tove Janssen in the 1940s. The Finnish airline Finnair has chosen Moomins to represent their travel products and services. The world’s only Moomin Museum can be found in the city of Tampere Finland.
Goodbye to our quaint Hotel with only 10 rooms.
Also pictured is a building with the typical architecture near the waterfront.
Hi Suzan and Gary
Pictures show how clean and neat everything is in Finland. Being out of Helsinki do not see any multi level buildings. Right?
Boats look very charming and probably 50 years old!
Your dinner at the house looks yummy.
Woods look like back hone a bit.
Hope you have enjoyed your Finish family and now ready to move on.
Continue to enjoy.
Great picture of Motor home and truck:-)
Lots of love
Marvin. xx
Suzan & Gary – Wow you are making the most of every day! Good for you! You are truly an inspiration and should write a book called “Life’s Plan”. So looking forward to our next 6 months with you. We are on the Columbia River, fairly close to Joyce & Richard & Michael & Jean. Played tennis with Joyce the other day.
