Ozarks, Mo and Iowa – On The Road Adventures

Lots more rain following us in our travels.

Although it was a very nice visit with friends at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, we did not like the Riverview RV Park and will not return to that park. Every morning we saw this all over our truck and bus. What a mess.

Also, here is one of the more friendly faces there in the park.

Due to all the rain we were unable to get out on the lake although it did not stop these youngsters in the background. Nice view from Bob & Susie’s deck. It was so nice to visit with them.

From Lake of the Ozarks, our travels took us to the Des Moines area of Iowa where we were able to visit with our friends Dick and Deb who we had not seen in 2 years.

Deb gave us some beautiful purple Iris’s from her garden.

We enjoyed looking at many of the several beautiful wood carvings around the property.

As well as some of the many antique toys.

It was also nice to see Remy, Tilly and Bella too. Bella decided not to chase this stuffed pig so she is not in the photo.

Thanks to both couples for our parting gifts. Certainly a fun way to remember both our visits. Does this mean that they think we drink a lot??

The next few days will be spent in Lincoln, Nebraska home of the Cornhuskers , the University of Nebraska Football team. They are regarded by many as the greatest college football team of all time.
