Our Second stop, Seven Feathers, Canyonville, Oregon
A very pretty park with paved lots and grass. I would rate it an 8.

The closest pickleball we could find was an indoor tennis facility in Roseburg. There were some very nice people there. Picture below is Umpqua indoor tennis center in Roseberg

After several games we took a walk at the Umpqua walking trail.

The Seven Feathers Casino looked nice but it was much too smokey for us to stay. If you ever go there I do not recommend that you eat at the restaurant. It literally made me sick.

Upon heading to our next destination we came upon this inversion. We actually drove through the clouds

Nice view of Mt Shasta along the way

Stop 3 in California at the Red Bluff KOA Journey, in Red Bluff. I rate this park a 7. It used to be a nice upscale place known as Durango but it has lost some of its appeal since it became a KOA.

Our view of the fountain at the KOA Journey.
This Air Stream is parked a few lots down. It looks like someone cut an actual air stream in half.

Saturday we played Pickleball at the Red Bluff Tennis Courts. About 20 people of all different abilities showed up to play on the temporary courts. Some really good games.

There was a sweet dog living outside in the woods next to our park. We had been feeding it but it looked like it could use a good bath and a good home. We wished we could have taken him home but Aussie would put her paw down on that idea.
There are some homeless people living in the woods behind the park. Hopefully they are helping to take care of it.
I tried calling 2 shelters and Gary reached out to 1 but none seem very helpful.

Stop 4, The Sparks Marina RV Park in Sparks Nevada near Reno. I would rate this place a 6. For an upscale park, although it was clean, I was not impressed.
Luckily this was a very short stay. Gary was able to play pickleball in the morning, but I had to take a sick day. There was a nice marina with a beach a few blocks down and we were able to spend some time there later in the day.

Stay tuned for details on The Jackson Rancheria Park in Jackson California which will be our 5th stop
Hi Suzan & Gary – sound like you are ‘On the Road’ yet again. Nice to follow your pickle ball travels! And good to hear Gary seems to be back on the courts, as are you, Suzan. Thanks for travelogue. Hugs to you both

Hi Suzan and Gary–
Love your blog and photos. Vicarious for me since we don’t have our rv anymore. We stayed in Red Bluff twice before it was a KOA. I remember walking our dog by the river and under that underpass where a bunch of homeless people were living. Too bad you couldn’t find a home for that poor doggie, but good effort.
Missing you on the PB courts for sure, but it sounds like you are playing and keeping all you good skills up! We had a great 4 hr clinic with Kevin Beeson. I think we can get him back in the spring.
