A few days at Belden Hill Campground in Harpursville, NY
A nice park with a very pretty catch and release pond. See the storm clouds moving in while we were there.
They have the most amusing pickleball court. The lines come to almost the very edge just inches before the grass so you would have to stand on the grass to serve the ball. The fact that it poured heavy rain there, the server (and receiver) would have to stand in the mud at the start of the game. There is no fence around the court so I wonder how many balls have hit the windows of the surrounding RV’s.
The next stop was Harrisonburg, Virginia in Broadway, VA at the KOA.
A very woodsy park with millions of gnats everywhere. There was a nice hiking trail there that we started to walk in but after hearing all the gun shots in the woods we quickly turned back. Below, pathway to the trail.
Signs everywhere in the park so you don’t get lost.
To get to the park In Virginia we drove through the state of Pa and we never knew there was a President Biden Expressway there.
We just arrived at Mountain Falls Luxury Resort in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. (Below) This a really beautiful Class A resort. We are here for a few days so I plan to take a lot of photos to post of this unique resort up in the mountains. This is probably one of the nicest resorts we have ever been in.
Good news about Aussie. We finally have a scheduled date for her TPLO surgery which will be the end of next month. We will need to start heading back to the west coast at the beginning of next month after our visits to Georgia and Florida.
What entertaining and interesting photos you post!… so much fun to read your blogs!!
We’ve always wanted to visit North Carolina… heard it’s beautiful there. I was there briefly in the 1980’s with my ex, but I always wanted to go back and spend more time there. How funny about the pickleball court surrounded by grass! I guess the grass is supposed to keep the ball from traveling too far. Did you play on it? Sounds kind of dirty. 😄
This is a trip of a lifetime! You’ve seen so much! We have lots to talk about when we see you later this fall. I can’t wait to hear all about your adventures.
Take care!
