What a busy month.
We spent a few days in Laguna Hills, California while Aussie had her leg surgery. She was not very happy about this. A total of 8 weeks before she can go for a walk again.
While waiting for her we spent the day wandering around the Spectrum shopping complex.
As seen below, the 10-story Giant Wheel rises above Irvine Spectrum Center. This is its most recognizable landmark.
In the summer of 2002, after traveling three weeks from Italy, the custom-designed and handcrafted Italian Giant Wheel arrived. It took eight weeks to assemble, at the direction of its Italian engineers.
In 2015, the original standard light bulbs were replaced with 52,000 energy-efficient LED lights capable of 16 million different color schemes.
We had a lot of fun on Halloween night. A large group dressed up and at the end of the evening there were prizes for the best costume. The lady below on the left with the hanging beaver won a prize for the weirdest.
The singer Purple (not Pink) and a pickleball paddle costume. Sorry to say we did not win anything. 😒
Finally, a nice quick visit from this lovely lady from Redmond, Oregon. She stayed here just long enough to play some good pickleball. What a nice visit.
The day after tomorrow Aussie goes back to the Vet for her 2 week check up. A two hour drive there for a 20 minute visit and then 2 hours back home.
Poor Aussie! She does look kind of sad in the picture. Well, her mom and dad are giving her the best care. She will be well soon and then back to her walks with you. At least, you had a good time while in Laguna… that is quite an impressive wheel!!
Halloween pics are so cute… you look good in purple… even your lips! And, of course, Gary is the pickleball champion. 😄 You should’ve won 1st prize.. very creative.
Good to see Alexis!! Good pic of the two of you.
