We finally made it to our casita in Indio last week but we have our timeshare in Carlsbad near San Diego so that is where we are for the next few weeks.
We are now in Carlsbad California where the city flower is the Bird of Paradise and there are plenty of them here.
Yesterday was spent at the new pickleball courts at Pointsettia Park in Carlsbad. They have 4 courts for social players and 2 for challenging players. The courts have lights and people can play until 11 pm on some nights.
After several hours on the courts we came back to get Aussie and take her out on the field for a good run.
Now its off to the Batiquitos Lagoon for a six mile walk. Batiquitos Lagoon in north San Diego County is one of the few remaining tidal wetlands on the southern coast of the United States. Located between Carlsbad and Encinitas, the lagoon is managed as a wildlife preserve by the California Department of Fish and Game. I am sure I will find some great photo opportunities there so stay tuned.
