What can be more peaceful than a nice walk in Wiessner Woods in Vermont on a beautiful day.
Wiessner Woods is a 2 mile loop trail located in Stowe, Vermont and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and snowshoeing and is accessible year-round.
It was so nice to bump into Barry and walk with Indie and Chaka and then watch them sit on the famous Lyman Family bench that was donated to the Stowe Land Trust and Wiessner Woods 25 years ago. Other than the bench at the entrance, this is the only bench anywhere in these woods outside any private land.
There is also the famous “Trolls” tree hidden in the woods, but unfortunately some of the heads have come off the trolls over the years.
People love to walk their dogs in these woods in any season and the dogs all seem to find their way to the mailbox at the Sugar Shack where inside the mailbox dogs will find an assortment of treats left to share by other dog owners.
