We left Idaho and our first stop was in Goldendale, Washington. Thanks to Harvest Hosts, we spent the night at Lefever Sheep Farm. This farm had several working farm dogs which included 2 border collies.
Before we departed the farm we found few items to buy in their store, like a jar of homemade honey and a bag of homemade granola.
We stopped at this rest stop along the way and its the first time we have ever seen horses at a rest area.
After Washington we made a stop for a few days in Newport Oregon to visit some friends who live near the beach.
Thanks again to Harvest Hosts we stayed an awesome Winery called Dutchman Vineyards in Ripon California. There are currently a lot of grapes on the vines there now.
The property is also surrounded by beautiful Almond and Walnut trees.
Walnut trees on the left and almond trees on the right.
I was able to pick a few walnuts off the trees before we left and we bought some almonds and white Malbec from the owners of the winery and almond farm where we stayed. The owner also had quite a few chickens and gave us some fresh eggs before we departed.
Above, the walnuts I picked from the trees. It would be nice to come and visit this area again.
Next door to the winery, the neighbors were offering horse and buggy rides to their guests that they had over to enjoy the beautiful day.
Its been a great few years in this beautiful coach and we have enjoyed every minute of it but this will be the last time we will be traveling in it.🥺 New adventures to come.
