Beautiful fall colors here now in Bend Oregon. Also snow topped mountains. The best and closest ski mountain is Mt Bachelor 22 miles west of Bend.
Since 2001, the ski area has been owned by Powdr Corporation of Park City, Utah. It is the largest ski resort (by area) by more than 1,000 acres in Oregon, the second largest single-mountain ski resort in the U.S., behind Vail, and the sixth largest of all ski resorts in the nation.
Mount Bachelor offers one of the nation’s longest ski seasons, mid-November through the end of May (weather permitting).
——————————————————————————————————————–What a great surprise yesterday when we took Aussie out on the open field to run. A lady named Tara who is a dog trainer, and her 15 Austrian Shepherds were also out on the field for a run. Tara trains these dogs as service dogs for people with disabilities and she was working mainly with one of the dogs for her client who is deaf. Aussie had a blast running back and forth with all these gorgeous dogs.

Yesterday was spent with friend Karen at the Bend street fair in Downtown Bend. See above. Fun to walk around but nothing worth buying. The free fresh apple cider drink made there with a cider press machine was tasty though.

Today Gary played in a Round Robin at a new indoor Pickleball facility in Bend called the Pickleball Zone. 32 players played for 2 hours on 8 different courts.
This 55,000 square foot facility hosts Trampoline Zone & Adventure Park on the ground floor, and 8 dedicated pickleball courts on the 3rd floor.
