We are packing up after a nice week in a rented condo in Big Sky Montana.
Gary had several days of nice skiing in Big Sky as well as one beautiful sunny day when we snowshoed at the Lone Mountain ranch with our friends from Stowe. Check out this place at lonemountainranch.com.
We are on the way now to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Okay we made it to Jackson Hole which is 3 1/2 hours from Big Sky.
The first day Aussie and I walked over to Teton Tails pet store to get her a new collar that says Jackson Hole on it. She had been wearing Smoochees old collar and it was time for her very own new one. What a nice store with lots of special yummy dog treats.
After the walk to the pet store, Aussie & I joined our friend for an uphill walk on the Cache Creek Trail in Jackson. There we saw lots of people either on fat tire bikes or cross country skis.
Gary was able to get some good skiing at the Jackson mountain but took a break on our last day there and we walked the Snake River Trail where we saw hundreds of other dogs running free. This is a trail where there is usually a moose or 2 to be seen but we were lucky that there were none there that day.
Sunday we left very early and made it to St George Utah for the night. When you book a suite, what kind of hotel gives you short chairs with a bar height table? The one we stayed in of course. And when I called the front desk to ask, the guy said “I don’t know anything about it and I am the only one here until 11 tonight”. This was slightly after he checked Gary in with his running nose and sniffing. Needless to say with his drippy nose, we did not pursue this and stayed as far away from the front desk as possible.
We finally made it home to Indio last night and today it has been raining so a good day to get caught up with laundry.
I was anxious to get back for the Indian Wells tennis tournament which was to start yesterday and go on for 2 weeks but because of the corona virus it has been cancelled this year. Organizers of the event, in the Riverside County community of Indian Wells, made the decision on the eve of its start on Monday after county officials declared a public health emergency when a case was confirmed in the area.
We will be here in Indio for a few weeks before we head over to Phoenix Arizona for a few days but stayed tuned for other events, such as the pickleball tournament that Gary will be playing in next week.
