Coos Bay

Our second stop along the coast. We will be here for a few days. This is a big fishing area and there are a lot of fishermen staying in the park.
  • Instead of wash rooms they have fish cleaning stations
  • Instead of golf carts RVs have fishing boats
No frills RV park. Lots of room but mostly like a big parking lot. We tend to stand out a little.
We are right next to the Marina filled with fishing boats.
A little quiet today because it is Sunday.
After a walk around the marina, it was off to the Bastendorff beach for a stroll.

About 3.5 miles from here is a fairly new RV Park which is quite unique called Bay Point Landing. If we had known about it we would have made plans to try it out. It is right by the water and a portion of the park is filled with Airstreams that are rented out just like a hotel room. They also have small but cute cabins for rent. The airstreams remain where they are and are never moved. What a unique way for people who prefer not to drive an RV but would like to stay in one. The park also has large pull-in and pull-thru sites for RVs near the bay as well as an indoor pool and indoor gym in their modern buildings. They also have their own general store. We will definitely book this the next time we are passing through this area. This spacious park looked spotless.
