We made it back to California and got all our winter ski and snow shoe gear put away to storage just in time before all the craziness started.
The times are crazy now. The first thing I did when we got back was head to the store for groceries and most of the aisles looked like this bread aisle in our local supermarket.
I was able to get this lovely floral arrangement delivered for my birthday before everything shut down.
And a few days later we went to dinner with Bob & Joann at our clubhouse to celebrate Bobs 88th birthday.
But as of today, everything is shut down. The governor of California as issued a mandatory stay at home order. Along with all the other other restaurants in the area our private restaurant on site has also closed.
They have cancelled all sports events including tennis, golf and all other outdoor activities. They even cancelled Garys Pickleball tournament that he was looking forward to.
Most of our Canadian friends have rushed home worrying about getting over the border and losing their insurance. Our RV park is only about 1/2 full now because we had a lot of Canadians here. Usually in March it is bustling with so many activities and now we are being told to stay inside except for emergencies or walking your dog.
We are lucky enough to be in a good climate while others are still experiencing the cold and snow and have cabin fever. The next few days here it will be sunny and in the upper 70’s so we should be able to get a few good walks around the park.
