Goodbye Vermont – On The Road Adventures

Yes we sold our house in Vermont while we were out in California. It was a quick plane trip back last week to clean out the 5,000 square foot house that we had owned for 33 years.

As luck would have it, it snowed heavily for a few days but thanks to a few friends we were able to get the house cleaned out in 5 days.

Thanks also to Diane, Nancy, Oliver, Al, Toni and Cathy for their incredible help. Thanks Patti for bringing over your famous delicious biscottis.

Also, thanks to Beth for picking up a ton of our unwanted stuff and bringing it to JCOGS. She had to make several trips because I kept finding more and more stuff.

2 small moving trucks took our belongs to one big truck in Burlington. We received about 6 inches of snow during the packing not to mention that the temperatures were in the teens.❄

Also, across from eating lunch at The Bagel, we took one last look at McCarthys restaurant After 45 years, their last day of business was October 31. Word is that it will be turned into a Skinny Pancake restaurant.

I am struggling with downloading some of the pictures to this blog so I will save the others for another time . Also, stay tuned for pictures of the new house in Oregon. The moving truck arrives there on Friday and we will be there to meet it.
