It all started with an outdoor Newell Coach party on a Tuesday night. The Newell Coach Company sponsored an Italian dinner with drinks and entertainment. The food was just okay, the entertainment was great and the coaches on display were to die for but at 2 million dollars per coach they certainly were not on everyone’s budget. It is nice to dream though.
The next day we drove to San Francisco and we were able to see Josh and Riikka visiting from Finland, We were able to catch Riikka before she had to fly back to their home in Finland and Josh flew to LA.
Unfortunately Jacob had the stomach flu and all he wanted to do was sleep. I had never seen him so sick. Luckily the day we were to leave to go back home he was all smiles and on the mend and even went to his swim class.
After swim class we went to a fun house where he played with balloons.
On the way towards home, I could not believe all the homeless people we saw living outside in tents in the Bay area. It was unbelievable that the city would allow it.
We came back on Sunday so that Gary could prepare for his ski trip to Whistler BC the next day.
The first day on the ski mountain and Gary had to quit. He felt a pop in his knee so he plans to come back home several days early since he can no longer ski on the slopes. His broken wrist from pickleball is on the mend but now he has a bum knee to contend with. Tests this week should determine the damage.
