If you thought Florida was humid then come and see what it’s like in Nebraska.
Upon arrival we were told that if we hear the sirens we should run into the facility’s bathroom which is a tornado shelter. While tornadoes can occur all year, they are most common in Nebraska during spring and early summer, where they develop along dry lines. Last year Nebraska had 21 tornadoes.
Hey, did you know that dogs are able to use all of their senses to predict when a tornado and storm are coming? Your dog can detect small changes in barometric pressure, which changes and charges when a storm is approaching a location – this is what alerts the dog that there is something changing with the pressure in the air.
There are many Disc Golf parks in this area. We caught up with this nice young man practicing. It looks like so much fun that we just might give it a try with a starter kit. Oh goody, another sport.
There is a big open field at the Camp Away park set up for disc golf players and tournaments are played here.
Aussie hurry and get that disc……
Two tennis courts were converted to 6 Pickleball Courts where we played at Peterson Park in Lincoln. Then on the other side of the playground there were 4 more courts. Unfortunately all the surfaces of these courts were done wrong and all need to be resurfaced in the next few weeks. We were lucky to be able to play a few games there before they have to shut the courts down for repairs.
This park is invaded by squirrels. There are at least 4-5 squirrels per tree. That’s almost as many cows as you see in Vermont.🤣
Next few days….. Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Looks like a great time! Enjoy💕
Wow! Better than the Discovery Channel!!
