The following are all our stops in the month of August. The next time google sends me one of these maps it will include our recent stops in Vermont & New Hampshire.
What a wonderful time we had in New Hampshire seeing old friends. It wasn’t easy getting into our friend’s winding driveway in New London but we made it work and stayed for a few days. The timing was right because we could not have asked for better weather.
Our friend has a beautiful house & a yard that goes down to his water dock. It was so peaceful to sit on the dock.
Aussie made 2 new friends at the house, Bailey (the golden) and Buddy (the lab)
We had a wonderful barbeque with some good friends that moved to NH from Vermont as well as other friends currently from Vermont that drove in to New London, New Hampshire for the day.
Thanks to our friends below for hosting us on your driveway and even having the electric added outside for us to plug in!
So great to see some good friends.
One of our friends who is part owner in a very popular restaurant in Stowe Vermont brought fresh tomatoes and arugula from her garden. And she also made a delicious key lime pie and her famous biscottis. What a nice treat!
Our seating area below next to the water,
While a few of the group went for a bike ride the rest of us took a really nice walk at Blodgetts Landing next to Lake Sunapee. Blodgett Landing is located in the northern part of Newbury, and the shore of Lake Sunapee. It is bordered to the north by the town of New London where we were staying. There are many lake front homes there circa the 1800s that have been passed on for generations. A few have been updated and some have not changed over the years.
.
A beautiful walk along Lake Sunapee with a clear view of Sunapee ski mountain.
And a quick stop at a flower stand. Next to this cart is a home with a huge field of flowers where the bouquets come from. A reasonable $15 for a bouquet.
It was great to see our friend (below in blue) who recently moved near the lake here. We have known her & her husband for 48 years.
Next few stops will be NY, Pa, Virginia & NC
Wow, your motorcoach looks so big in your friend’s driveway. Haha, I used to live about three miles from New London… Minnesota. It was on a lake, too. It was green there, too. Many of your pictures remind me of Minnesota. It’s different seeing all the greenery in your pretty pictures… the AZ desert looks so brown this time of year. Lake Sunapee looks so beautiful! Again, it reminds me of Minnesota, but no mountains in MN. You truly lived in a beautiful place. Your friend’s place looks so serene and pretty… love the bouquets of flowers! I can’t believe all the places you’ve been this summer trip!! You truly have traversed the United States!! What an adventure! Be safe! ❤️
