On The Road again

Goodbye to Indio for the season. The temperature there has been as high as 102. Time to hit the road as we head towards Oklahoma to pick up our new motorhome. We will be on the road for at least a month traveling to different locations across the country.

Karma, Oliver, Buddy, Aussie and Pink meet up on an early morning walk just days before our departure.

Our first stop….We pulled into Desert Shadows RV Park in Phoenix Arizona.

Today consisted of visiting Mom in assisted living.

This is the dog we gave Mom as a companion. The dog, barks, blinks, wags its tail and Mom talks to it constantly. She even says the dog has the same aches and pains as she has. She calls the dog Aussie.😊
What would our travels be like without having to stop at a repair shop? The air conditioner on our dash went out so we went to All Aboard America in Mesa for a few hours. They service mainly Prevost buses and the people there were so helpful. They fixed our A/C within a few hours and we went back to the RV park in Phoenix.
One of the coaches in the park has this clever bird feeder in the window, so that the owners can sit in the motorhome and watch the birds all day.

Our final walk this morning. A unique cactus mailbox and if we get tired walking we can have a seat at someone’s home.🤣

Unfortunately, Gary got several calls in the wee hours that his Mom fell and is in the hospital. She is okay but they are keeping an eye on her.

We plan to make it all the way to Iowa to visit a good friend and possibly further east from there before heading back to Oregon.

We are on the way now to Camp Verde, Arizona near Lake Montezuma for the week.
