We have been in Idaho for 2 months waiting for the renovations to be complete on the new house and unfortunately it will take a little longer than we thought.
Several people have asked for an update on the house so this is to let you know that the following has been completed. The total outside of the house has been repainted. Below is a picture of them painting the back porch.
The inside has new hardwood floors and new brick on the fireplaces.
Brand new counter tops in the kitchen and all 4 bathrooms.
We had removal of the bumpy surfaces on most of the walls and new drywall added in certain areas.
Also many speakers were removed from the ceilings.
34 trees have been removed outside for better views and better access to parking.
The landscapers working below. You can see some of the lake behind the house
Gravel added so that our motorhome as well as visitors in their motorhomes can drive onto the property to park. We will be parked here in our coach next week.
Next week hopefully the inside walls will be painted and the kitchen back splash will be added.
We will be in Stoneridge Resort for only one more week. We have met some wonderful people here and played pickleball at the resort courts several times a week. Our lot pictured below,
We will miss this place and Aussie will miss sitting in the passenger seat and looking out the window.
The resort has had a few free outdoor concerts and there is one more planned for tomorrow night. A nice way to end off our stay here.
A quick trip to Sandpoint last week where we walked on the Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail. From Sandpoint we took a 20 minute drive up to Schweitzer Ski Mountain where there is a lot of mountain biking in the summer and supposedly great skiing in the winter.
We are happy to report that all the moths and all the birds have finally left us alone but now we have an abundance of wasps outside to contend with.
More updates to come soon.
Hi Suzan and Gary!
Lots has been happening to you this summer! Congrats on your home purchase in ID. Looks gorgeous and hope it will end up being the perfect thing for you three.
I was in Japan for 2+wks in May and it was so amazing. Surprised me in ways I wasn’t expecting with the beauty, history, graciousness of the people and I could go on…Just back from 4 days in Ashland with our whole family (10) for some plays and hanging out time before grands all go back to school.
Playing PB mostly at SJ but occasionally indoor at Premier if it’s too hot or smokey. We seem to be kind of in the middle of several fires this season which is so gross.
Let me know when you next plan to come our way. Can’t believe I only saw you for half a second Suzan on your last visit.
