Another beautiful day in Stockholm today. 85 degrees and sunny and of course daylight until around 11pm in the evening.
Today is Fathers Day and we were lucky to be able to spend time with the son of some friends of ours from Canada and his wife and baby. His Father is so far away and our children are a distance away so it was nice to get to know them today.
We met for lunch in Gamla Stan at Kaffekoppen near the Royal Palace and then took an historical tour.
The Stockholm Palace or the Royal Palace is the official residence and royal palace of the Swedish Monarchs. It has 1,4320 rooms. Construction started in 1697 and was completed in 1760.
Above are photos today inside the cathedral at the Royal Palace.
Actual saved historical items in the museum below the palace.
Sweden is know for afternoon ‘fika’ (pastry and coffee) and we found plenty of appetizing delights at several of the outdoor markets.
What a lovely way to put it!! It was so nice that you were able to spend time with our boy on Fathers Day!! And I’m glad that our son was able to be with you! A symbiotic day!!😍
