Stowe Pinnacle Trail is a 3.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Stowe, Vermont that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. This is not an easy hike. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October.
We had to climb quite a few tall rock steps near the Pinnacle summit. Stowe Pinnacle is around 2,651 ft. At this bald summit overlook, one can see Mount Mansfield to the northwest, Mount Hunger to the south, and even Camels Hump to the southwest (on clear days). Soak in the gorgeous views as we did on our hike a few days ago. All I can say is “Wow”.
It is best to keep your dog on a leash at the top. You are so high up the mountain and there is a huge drop from the top.
