The evening of day 2 at our rally in Kerrville we had 3 buses show up to take the Prevost group out to dinner at Comance Trace Country Club.
The bus ride there seemed like it took a long time since we took the bus that got lost to get there. It was a buffet dinner. The food was delicious but we had to wait in long lines to get it .
The band Harry & the High Tones was very enjoyable and there was some dancing but not a lot of people eager to get on the floor. Thanks to Millennium for sponsoring a nice evening.
Fortunately the ride back on the bus was a quick one and we did not get lost.
The next evening we had to board a bus again and this time it took us to an outdoor Cowboy picnic place called 11th St Cowboy Bar. Not what I would call first class. The bus ride there took over 40 minutes. The bar was all outside and it was very hot and humid. It was a make your own dinner place where they give you a piece of meat or chicken when you walk in and you have to cook it on the grill. It was also a cash bar. Since we don’t eat meat, our dinner was a salad and again, we had to wait in line to get it. Also, not that we minded but we were mixed in with the locals so our group was scattered everywhere.
The music was typical Texas Cowboy and quite loud.
Today we will be meeting at a Brewery for lunch and then off to the River Hill Country Club for dinner with the Almost Patsy Cline band so stay tuned for more.
Hi Suzan & Gary – sounds like it is really “Texas style’, with lots of eating venues! Keep exploring & eating & enjoying…
Thanks for taking the time to read.
