Our first stop in Wyoming was at the KOA in Cheyenne.
There is not too much to do in Cheyenne but we were able to meet up with a group of nice pickleball players in the local gym known as the BEAST. We played indoors on the basketball courts because it is still too cool to play outside. They even invited us to stay for coffee and cookies afterwards.
The last park in Nebraska was surrounded by squirrels This place in Cheyenne is infested with gophers coming out of their holes. I have honestly never seen so many holes. You have to watch where you walk. It sort of reminded me of the holes in the series Stranger Things, where you fall into the Upside Down.
Our neighbor that was next to us in this RV park sure knows how to treat her dogs. She set up a sofa outside and her dogs just lay there all day. Gives a new meaning to Dog Day Afternoon.
From Cheyenne Wyoming we drove to to Phillips RV park in Evanston Wyoming for a few days. There is even less to do in Evanston. The top gourmet eatery there is McDonalds, however there is a really nice 3 mile walking path known as the Bear River Trail which follows along a little river most of the way.
Nice brown water
From Wyoming we drove through Salt Lake City & Park City which is always beautiful. Here it is June and there is still snow on the mountain.
Salt water in Salt Lake Park City ski mountain
From there we spent a night in Nevada. The New Frontier is a really nice RV park in Winnemucca. Nevada. They have nice paved lots and a restaurant right next door.
Time to get on the road and head to California. The trip is quickly coming to an end.
Next stop, the Expo Center in Sacramento California and then on to San Francisco which will be the most important stop of all because we will see Jacob for a few days.
Great trip!!
Enjoy San Francisco and your time with Jacob!💕
You are on the move! Sounds like you are enjoying the travels & seeing new places – getting in some pickle ball even! Hope the new motor home continues to drive smoothly! And enjoy Sacramento, pre-Jacob visit! Be safe.
